CapitOx Investment

The investment division of CapitOx strives to educate its members on a wide range of areas related to traditional and new investment products used in modern financial markets as well as giving hands on experience.

We attempt to educate our members by obtaining access to some of the most successful and influential players in the financial markets today and in the past. These can range from fund managers and CEOs of global corporations to regulatory chairmen, politicians and entrepreneurs of some of the biggest brands you see today. We believe that the experience of some of these men and women who have unique viewpoints in today’s markets can be used to help educate some of the brightest individuals that Oxford has to offer.

We also believe strongly in the need for practice. All the theory in the world cannot prepare one for what it is really like to deal in a global market where one can never be certain about the outcome of any trade. Currently we run a virtual £100,000 fund - the CapitOx Global Investment Fund which spreads its wings over nearly every market in the world dealing in equities, commodities and currency. The fund is split up into several teams with each team presenting their ideas and proposals once a week on their area of expertise. Though the fund is a virtual fund, we hope to develop this into a real fund with real money in the near future.
